Road Trip 1: The Crazy Cousin Tour

This road trip with my Aunt Dianne and I has been planned for a while. At first, it was to go see Kristina in Nashville while she was at a dig around July 4th, but it had to be put off do to the lovely fact the knee surgery had to occur. (It was the younger one of the two of us. Go figure.) We started to aim towards the end of summer with our eyes focused on Philadelphia but it was determined that it would be to difficult for the individual who had an improperly functioning knee. Then, we had the brilliant idea about going during my fall break. As the time drew nearer to the actual departure, the group going slowly got smaller and work and moving and life got in the way but Aunt Dianne and I held firm and rerouted again. This time the title was set, The Crazy Cousin Tour. The route started in Pamplico, SC. We headed South stopping in Savannah for a visit then spending the night in Jacksonville, FL. Next we headed to the Gulf of Mexico (so I could see it) and then continued to our resting spot in Prattville, AL. The next morning we left for Asheville, NC but actually ended up in Maggie Valley, NC. Finally, we drove back to Rock Hill today. This four day trip totaled 1,500 miles, 6 states (4 of which we stayed in), two coasts, and the mountains. Needless to say, our tushes are mush.

More is to come.

I have been incredibly slack lately writing on my blog. I have been finding myself a little uninspired but since two people have mentioned it to me in the last 24 hours, maybe that's the push I have been needing (s/o to Aunt Dianne and Kim).

Here is a short synapses of my life since February.
I have finished Junior year of college and I am heading into to Senior year completely unsure about the future. I have returned home to continue my numerous jobs. I learned embroidery and since I've already played around with cross-stitch and knitting, I can now be considered an old woman. I am training for a 10K and after that a half marathon. I am almost half way through with training for the 10k. My sister graduated high school yesterday and thinks she is qualified to run the world now and right now, I am taking a break from folding laundry.

This summer I will work and dream about all the cool places I could be but require money. I'll just have to live vicariously through everyone else.

And that ladies and gentlemen is why I am not blogging because I basically fell asleep writing this dull post. Maybe in the future, I'll find something neater.

I would even post something about headbands or another cool piece of clothing if I had been stalking the web which has not occurred. Even though there is this awesome bedspread at Pottery Barn....

Anyway here is a shameless plug for my boyfriend's drum company. Check it out. Spread the word.

CONGRATULATIONS to my friend Kristen Lawson for a successful engagement :)

If... Then...

Any one that knows me knows that I LOVE headbands.

If I was a headband, then I would be this headband from Olivine.

If... Then...

I'm sitting in the library right wishing that I was so smart that I didn't need school. I'm trying to be productive and forge ahead for the week but it's not working out too well.

Yesterday was FANTASTIC! I dragged Martin to an antique mall in Charlotte called the Sleepy Poet. It was fun to wander around and look. There were so many great things! Sadly, I didn't find anything good enough to purchase.

Here is another installment of If... Then...

If I was born into another ERA, Then it would be the 60's.

Something I Feel Passionate About

These wonderful girls at Oh So Lovely Vintage made a post about BANGS!

They were inspired by Zooey Deschanel in her Allure shoot. LOVE HER!

And then they threw in a few other pictures of other girls with AWESOME bangs.
Maybe they should have added this picture of my Bangs...

If I had it my way, everyone would have bangs.

If... Then..

The inspiration for this post comes from good 'ole science class.

If  I was a SHOE, then I would be a part of this PAIR.

This Little Guy...

Is so stinkin' cute! I was Christmas shopping in Hobby Lobby and ran across the pattern and decided I couldn't say no.

I'm not sure what I'll do with him. Maybe hang him in my room and name him?? Anyway, I'm going to scamper off and watch bones. Later!

Happy New Years!

I'm late on the well wishes by about 2 days but that's cool. The year is still new. It would be weird if I was saying it in like July right?? I've been swamped with work and family all break so I'm a little behind on blogging. I usually just check messages at night and crash and I've honestly haven't been looking for too much inspiration. I have started knitting and made a few things for some friends but I didn't take a picture of them because I was doing good just to have them created on time. Sadly, this post will have to be picture free because well I don't really have the patience to find one right now. Maybe, the next post will be better. Till next time...
